Abstract

Most published material in English on the Cuban economy is written by non-Cubans. The goal of this book is to present, in English, a spectrum of views on various aspects of the Cuban economy from twelve Cuban economists respected in Cuba for their work. The book’s temporal focus is the Special Period, 1990-2009, though it also presents the previous thirty years as necessary background.
