This summary chapter reviews regicide as practiced by some ancient Maya in the Classic Period and considers themes reviewed in the preceding chapters. It is especially notable that many of the contributors to this volume are working with archeological contexts lacking significant hieroglyphic inscriptions referencing kingship or violence. Nevertheless these archaeologists successfully address the archaeological patterns in evidence relevant to these themes.
