This chapter discusses the notions of double consciousness and self-exoticization as they appear in different cultural manifestations. It focuses on the processes of self-Orientalization that are displayed in the works of Chinese mulatto poet Regino Pedroso and in the paintings of Sino-Cuban artists Flora Fong, Pedro Eng Herrera, and María Lau.
