This chapter examines the reconstruction of the shipwreck found at the Legare Anchorage in Florida. This project, conducted for identification purposes, was led by Russ Skowronek. Skowronek personally toured the site and completed the collection of photographs and maps in June 1983. The 1983 project revealed that the remains of the Legare Anchorage ship were oriented from east (stern) to west (bow) and the evidence gathered provided information regarding the function, age, and cultural affiliation of the ship it represents. The wreck was determined to be a warship built around the second quarter of the eighteenth century.
