Among the first dancers Fernando Alonso befriended in New York, Saddler was close to both Alicia and Fernando and danced with them on Broadway, as well as at Ballet Theatre. He offers his recollections of their first encounter, the quality of friendship that they shared, and a glimpse of Fernando’s sense of humor, as well as his sensibility and insistence on remaining faithful to classical traditions.
