Praised by critics for her bravura, though she is not yet out of her twenties, Grettel Morejón was coached by Fernando Alonso for several important roles and recognized for the soloist roles she danced in Napoli when Frank Andersen staged it for the BNC. Morejón describes the process of perfecting a simple step under Alonso’s direction and also of finally finding a character that was difficult for her to create thanks to his coaching, as well as words of kindness he offered, also meant to act as life lessons.
